Britannia Petite History


Originating from England the Amercian Britannia Petite were known as Polish .  When they were brought to Amercia and reconized by ARBA  this little rabbit was given the name  Britannia Petite.  Since there was already a breed known as Polish here.

Ruby Eyed White

 

 

Pure white color, bright and clean over entire animal.

 Eye - deep ruby color.

 

 

Black

 

 

Color - black.
 It is to be a rich black color over the entire animal. 
 Color is to extend well down the hair shaft.

Undercolor - slate blue.

 Eye - brown.

 

 

Chestnut

 

 

Body - Rich chestnut shading with black ticking over an intermediate orange band.

Undercolor - dark slate.

Eye Circles, Underside of Tail, & Belly - white.

 Undercolor - slate.

Eye - Brown

 

 

Black Otter

 

 Main body color - black

Belly - white or pale cream

Underside of Chin  and tail - pale cream

The Dividing Color Between Body Color
& Underside - orange.

Nostrils & Triangle - tan

Eye Circles & Inside of Ears - fawn

Chest - mixtures of black and cream which is to merge into the main body color in front of the shoulders.

Eyes - Brown

 

 

Sable Martin

 

 

Main Body - to have a sepia saddle extending fpr the nape of the neck to the tail.

Flanks and Chest - shading to a paler sepia.
 
All shading is to be gradual, you do not want blotches or streaks.

Face, Ears, Front of Fore Legs, Outside of Hind Feet, & upper side of the Tail - are to match the saddle color as close as possable.

Undercolor-  to match surface color as much as possable.
 
Eye Circles, Jowls, Belly, Underside of Tail,  Nostrills,  Inside of Ears, Triangle,  Chest,  
Inside of Front Legs and Rear Legs - white

Sides, Flank & Rump - evenly distribluted white tipped guard hairs

Eyes - Brown

All faults for each color are  to be as written in the ARBA Standard of  Perfection.
